All your questions answered…

Q. How do I get started?

We start with a phone or video consultation to make sure we are a good fit. On our call, we will discuss your specific needs and availability. From there, we can schedule your Introductory Session

Q. What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing- fitted or loose, your choice! The important thing is that you can move freely without feeling restricted. Plan to be barefoot (unless we are doing Meditation or Restorative, in which case you might want to have socks available).

Q. What supplies do I need?

You'll need a yoga mat, two blocks, a hand towel and a blanket. You may also want to consider a strap and bolster. No worries if you don't have everything for the introductory session. We will be glad to discuss before you rush to purchase anything.

Q. How do I prepare for our sessions?

Before each session we encourage you to consider one of the core values of yoga, the concept of Saucha.  Saucha is the Sanskrit word for cleanliness, or purity, and it teaches us to respect both our bodies and environments to promote a sense of calm. Please wear clean clothes to practice and minimal fragrance. Ensure your mat and props are clean. Physical disorder affects the mind, so please “clear the clutter” to create a neat practice area.

Q. Where do you teach?

All services are offered online. As it becomes safe to share physical space again, we look forward to expanding our offerings to include in-person sessions, workshops and retreats.

Q. I've never done yoga before? Can I take private lessons?

Absolutely! We love working with beginners and enjoy the journey of discovery.

Q. Can I schedule semi-privates with a spouse or friend?

We prefer to work with people one on one to deliver the most personalized yoga experience. However, we will consider semi-privates on a case-by-case basis and adjust rates accordingly.

Q. I just want to take one private yoga class. Can I do that?

We work with clients committed to meeting with a private yoga instructor on a weekly, ongoing basis. We do not offer single sessions at this time. However, if you are looking for an instructor to lead a workshop or a one-time class event or party, let's talk!

Q. What are your rates?

Private yoga rates are comparable to other wellness services such as physical therapy, massage or personal training. We'll be happy to give you a quote during a phone consultation.

Q. Can I purchase private sessions as a gift?

Wonderful idea! However, keep in mind that we work with clients committed to practicing on an ongoing basis, not for one-off sessions.
